| es_MX |

English | There are studies in pharmaceutical systems that are used to improve the physico-chemical properties of the drugs. One of them, the method of solid dispersions, involves a carrier to achieve the required aim. The polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG6000) was used as such carrier, since it has a high hydrophilic behavior and it is used in the pharmaceutical industry as excipient or an active ingredient. In this work the PEG6000 mixed and later fused was fused with metronidazole for the obtention of solid dispersions. This drug is insoluble in water and it is employed as antiparasitic. In this work was preparated 1:0.25; 1:0.50; 1:0.75 solid dispersions of the drug. All the samples were characterized by DSC and XRD. It was observed that a part of the metronidazole is retained in the volume of PEG6000 and another part is fixed on it’s the surface. The evaluation of the dilution rate for the solutions (manufactured in tabs), shows a better profile of liberation, between 45% to 90 %, with respect to comparison with commercial presentations (from 29% to 56 %). This result was subject to simple regression analysis. | en |
