dc.description.abstract	En el presente trabajo se estudió la obtención de pellets mediante la propuesta de un esquema sustentable. La materia prima que se utilizó fue obtenida de la paja del maíz, la cual fue sometida a muchos procesos físicos entre ellos la molienda, tamizado, secado en horno, hidratación, mezclado con el aceite y vaselina y moldeado en una peletizadora manual a presión y secado para una mejor consistencia en la estufa a 56°C ; se evaluaron diversos parámetros físicos tales como: % cenizas, % calorífica, % dureza y densidad; también se realizaron parámetros químicos para saber el % del contenido de algunos metales como: plomo, cadmio, cromo, mercurio, carbón, nitrito y fosfato. Se obtuvieron 100 pellets de acuerdo al 95 % de rendimiento obtenido, la longitud promedio fue de 2.47+ 0.47 cm.	es_MX
