Title: Teaching with linguistic justice in an EFL context using culturally sustaining pedagogy

Abstract: How are linguistic justice and culturally sustaining pedagogy relevant to the mexican context? Linguistic justice: Respecting languages, dialects, and varietes other than the standard as viable means of communication and working for their acceptance as appropiate for use in academic discourse. Culturally sustaining pedagogy: Seeking "to perpetuate and Foster -to sustain- linguistic, literate, and cultural pluralism as part of schooling for positive social transformation… Dynamic cultural dexterity as a necessary Good... the outcome of learnin as additive rather than substrative" (Paris and Alim, 2017)
